Ways to Sell Popcorn:

Traditional
Door-to-Door, sell to Family & Friends. You may take orders (and submit via the online form linked here), or you may sell popcorn directly if you have product on-hand. Contact PopcornSales47@gmail.com if you have any questions about this process.

As a Pack, we have arranged several opportunities for you to sell as part of a group at Community Events. You'll earn a portion of the sales, proportionate to the amount of time you spend at the booth. Sign up for your shift here!

Tips for Selling Popcorn

Head out for a walk and visit your neighbors.
Reach out to grandparents, aunts, uncles, long-distance family friends. Try using FaceTime to make a connection.
Utilize your Online Sales ID. Ask Mom & Dad to share it out via their social media or via email, but make sure the Scout has a hand in the messaging! A video works great so the Scout can let everyone know what they're doing and why.
Talk to people at your church, at the library, on your sports teams. Get creative and be bold! You never know if you don't ask!
Be polite and clear in the sales process. The Scout should introduce himself, mention Pack 47 in Merton, and why he's selling popcorn. It's great to be familiar with the flavor options so he can mention his favorite popcorn if asked.
Keep track of who you sell to so you can reach out again next year! It's great to include a 'Thank You' note when you deliver the order if you can.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can someone make a donation directly to the Pack?

Yes! We welcome and hugely appreciate donations made directly to the Pack! We can accept cash, or checks may be made out to Pack 47.

What are we selling the Popcorn for?

The Popcorn Sale is Pack 47's only fundraiser. The Pack receives 40% of the sale. The money we raise allows our Pack to provide events and activities FREE to all Scouts and their families. This means that everyone has the opportunity to participate in our activities and events. We provide the supplies needed for each Scout to participate in all events.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We can accept cash or checks made payable to Pack 47. Online sales can be paid via credit card.

Does Pack 47 sell wreaths?

No, Pack 47 does not sell wreaths. We leave that up to the older boys in our associated Troop 47.

Do my online sales count toward my sales total?

Yes, you will earn prizes based on your total sales from your online AND in-person sales.

How do I earn money by working at the Pick 'n Save booth?

NOTE: It is to be determined if Pack 47 will do a Show & Sell booth in 2025.

We'll calculate the total dollar amount sold for the day at the booth. Scouts will earn their percentage of the total sales based on how many hours they work. The means that the total sale is split among all the Scouts who work the booth based on the time they spend at the booth. Those who take two shifts, for example, will earn proportionately more than a Scout who works one shift.
